NORTH HIGHLANDS, CA (MPG) – The Rio Linda, Elverta and North Highlands communities gathered Thursday afternoon, November 3, for the monthly “Lunch Bunch” meeting held at Pancake Palace in North Highlands.

This month’s speaker was one of the group members, Patrick Magnani, a financial advisor for Edward Jones. Magnani discussed topics such as rising income, dividends and the stock market.

Before the Lunch Bunch started talking money, the group went around the room and discussed other things going on in their tri-county community that they wanted others to be aware of.

Sacramento County District 3 Supervisor Rich Desmond’s special assistant Mark Cullum was in attendance for the Lunch Bunch. Cullum spoke about the upcoming Board of Supervisors meeting which will be held next Tuesday, November 15. The topic of conversation will be the Stay Safe Community located at 4837 Watt Avenue in North Highlands, which will be discussed and voted on at the meeting on November 15.

One community member brought attention to a GoFundMe page that has been set up on behalf of Alfinia “Fifi” Myah, whose younger brother Alfred Myah, was shot and killed on October 21 at Grant High School during a football game. Alfred was only 24 years old.
