Presidential General Election Update

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA (MPG) - Voter Registration and Elections (VRE) has posted the list of Ballot Drop Box and Vote Center locations for the Nov. 5 Presidential General Election on the VRE website at elections.saccounty.gov.

Vote by Mail ballots will be mailed to voters beginning Monday, Oct. 7. Ballot Drop Boxes will begin opening Monday, Oct. 7, and Vote Centers will begin opening Saturday, Oct. 26.  A complete list of Ballot Drop Box and Vote Center locations, and days and hours of operation can be found at: https://elections.saccounty.gov/votecenters/pages/locations.aspx

Key Election Dates

Monda​​y, Oct. 7​: Mailing of ballots to all registered voters begins

​Monday, Oct. 7: Voted ballots may be returned in any of the Ballot Drop Boxes located throughout the County           ​

​Monday, Oct. 21: Close of voter registration for this election. Voter registration forms must be postmarked by this date or delivered to the VRE Office at 7000 65th Street, Suite A, Sacramento 95823 by 5 p.m. Online voter registration must be completed before midnight on this date at www.registertovote.ca.gov     ​

​Tuesday, Oct. 22: Conditional Voter Registration (CVR) begins               ​

​Saturday, Oct. 26: 11 Day Vote Centers open

​Tuesday, Oct. 29: Last day a Vote by Mail (VBM) ballot can be mailed to you. After this date, VBM ballots are only available at the VRE Office or a Vote Center.​

​Saturday, Nov. 2: All Vote Centers open throughout the County       ​

​Tuesday, Nov. 5: Election Day
